Sandhya Sakhuja’s Presentation on Responsible beauty- the need of our planet gets recognition on a global stage

these subjects are not initiated by the most innovative countries in the sector, those of European cosmetics, and French in particular.

It was an Indian leader Sandhya Sakhuja who put the subject on the table. She runs Vedic Cosmeceuticals Pvt Ltd, a subcontractor manufacturer of packaging and finished products.

Even more original was her introduction: she evokes environmental issues with the alarming words of her own 17-year-old daughter, Anaya.

In the middle of a professional audience, she then asks her daughter to come on stage to tell us again her concerns with her words.

Project- Responsible beauty- the need for our planet

A sensitive project like sustainability has much wider ramifications. It has to come from within, with a firm belief that not only are we doing good for our planet but are also able to make the project commercially feasible.
The beauty industry is realizing that sustainable is the way forward in the long run.
The focus needs to be on broadly 3 aspects that impact consumer behavior positively:

  • Experience – give the consumer a superior experience as compared to the current one
  • Ease of access – should be available at their regular grocer or point of purchase
  • Affordability – a price advantage always helps.
